Hello!!!
I will begin with a statement: May is a springtime month and it's raining- raining- the whole time and I hate it.
How am I supposed to wear my new Hilfiger platforms in this weather??
Easter was a fun time for me, my godsister came home from London and it was great having her around.
I also managed to find an alternative job, should medicine not fall through.
My godsister, godmother and I painted the balcony of their apartment PLUS the surrounding walls.
It was great fun except now my sweatpants are kind of ruined with white paint but I won't mind, I should accept them as a "favorite pair of torn blue jeans"
*that was a Bon Jovi reference- 2 months and 9 days left*
I am also doing well with my job and I am confident in doing what I have to do faster and without supervision.
Although I do ask for someone to double check my stuff when I'm done.
Other than that I'm pretty good.
I am due to start my residency in autumn and I am excited about it.
I will be working, living on my own, managing my life and myself.
Sounds a bit frightening but fun.
I feel more and more confident about my choice of Urology and when people say stupid stuff I don't even care anymore.
A younger girl, a student, asked for me in the library the other day, she said she wanted to speak with me, because she wants to become a Urologists..
Have I come to the point where I can give advice to others?..
I don't know... let's see.
So I've gained a bit of weight during Easter, I climbed up to 62kg, and I've lost 1,5kg since the 30th of April with a combination of Atkins Induction, a few glasses of wine and the ancient art of distraction.
The key was given to me by my godsister and I shall give it to anybody interested in cutting down on their dinner:
NAIL POLISHING.
Buy a new set of manicure equipment and nail lacquer of your choice.
Sit in front of the TV and instead of snacking, start polishing, trimming, painting, manicuring in general..
It works for me.
If you go out though then I'm sorry, this won't work for you.
Well it's the price you pay for having a life!
So anyway I've decided to start the Dukan diet.
I'll see how it goes and I'll post about it.
I have to admit though that I sat and watched the entire wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
I have to admit that when she got out of the car I got goosebumps.
And when the people on the streets sang the hymns together with the guests as well.
When they rode in the carriage it was like a fairy tale.
And then they went into the palace for their wedding fun and I got back to my normal life and to the fact that I will never be a princess.
*sigh*
Well, I'll be a surgeon.
She won't.
Ha- ha!
But the dress was amazing.
Simply beautiful.
Can I ask Sara Burton to do mine on a budget?
No??
Okay...
:-)
Soooooo

I also got up to 63 kg. I am working SO HARD now. My BMI is overweight. The worst part is everyone thinks I look better than ever - Mediterranean men!
And SHE STOLE MY WEDDING DRESS. I was doing this:

Isn't that the dress??? But mine will be green.
Oooh gosh 63kg is my normal sort of weight... maybe I am taller than you?! ha ha! I would love to be 50kg though although will take some willpower.
YOu can still be a princess floating about your house! Are you going to do your training in Greece?
Also I like the idea of these Mediterranean men your friend mentions... any going spare?! ;)
Sara: That's a wonderful dress and you're bound to look lovely in it. :) All the best for you and your man. :)
Medically Burnette: Many mediterranean men to spare :-D Haha!! Of course I'm a princess in my home, my mum said so... :P
Yeah I will be doing my residency in Greece, God permitting of course, what with everything else going on around here it's getting a bit hard to just get on with life as usual- the economic crisis kinda gets in the way!!!
