New Year's Resolutions - 2009

My new diary is bright red, I have already signed it and bought stickers to make it colorful and bright.

This year, to be honest, I am keeping three diaries.

A weekly one (the red mentioned above), a Forever Friends daily one, to track my studies as I get closer and closer to my final year and a tiny weekly Forever Friends one to keep in my purse...

Once again, pens up, it's the time to make resolutions and do my best in keeping them- after all I have 365 days to do so, right?!

Now let me see... what do I want, what do I need... hmmmm... what kind of magic should 2009 bring my way... ?

And so it begins:

1. Be healthy (as in taking care of myself)

2. Stop biting nails (at least in public places-)

3. Polish above nails regularly- yeah, the un-bitten ones.

4. Dress my age

5. While we're at that- Act my age *I can't even elaborate*

6. Walk straight, no slouching, sitting straight, no back pains, in fact-

7. Excercise *anything will suffice*

8. Greet people in an appropriate manner- you know, when I wave like an idiot saying "hiiiii"?- yeah... not good for an adult.

9. Lose 5 kg. *It will do me good in so many ways.*

10. Pick a field of specialty.

11. Do what needs to be done and can be done at this point towards achieving a residency spot starting 2010, ideally in September.

12. Study as hard as I can to get the best grades that I can.

13. Study as hard as I can, so I can be a better doctor, one that knows her stuff.

14. Stay up to date with new data on the fields of specialty that I love so far.

15. Ooze confidence about medicine- so I can be the type of doctor that her patients will love and trust.

16. Ooze confidence about self. *not just medicine, anything*

17. Cultivate self by reading classic novels

18. Read classic poets

19. Watch the news regularly.

20. Watch at least one desired film every week *cinema, Dvd, wherever's fine*

21. Go to football games *quite an atmosphere there, especially in Spring*

22. Learn how to cook soups and other, different kinds of foods. *blue cheese soup with smoked reindeer- mmmm....*

23. Taste different whines

24. Learn about different types of whines

25. For that matter- Do shots. :-D

26. Make regular appointments with dentists, eye- docs, OB/Gyn, as I should.

27. Keep taking photographs from everyday events.

28. Take the most that I can out of the hospital I study in, the hospital that I love and that has made me the student I am and shaped the image of the doctor I want to be.

29. Cherish these moments. *do not just drift through*

30. Assist in surgeries. *tough one, but I should be so lucky*

31. Do well in Spanish and obtain the first degree "Inicial" in May.

32. Learn ONE song on the piano. *let's BE modest this year*

33. Learn ONE song on the guitar.

34. Sing more.

35. Whistle more. *one should not supress these feelings*

36. Be more polite.

37. Be wiser.

38. Be kinder.

39. Do what I should do

40. Do what I want to do

41. Travel- as much as I can, as far as I can.

42. Save money. *for travelling to be possible*

43. Spend time with my friends

44. Spend time with my family

45. Spend time with my boyfriend *we're together for about four years, yet you still make my knees weak, man...*

46. Fill my heart with positive experiences shared with the people mentioned above.

47. Smile more and wider

48. Laugh harder

49. Love stronger

...and...

50. Be happy

Happy New Year Everyone!
